Studio Neat Branding studio

Studio Neat is a branding studio my team and I founded during The Studio course at Hyper Island. The idea behind the name sums up our approach: clean, considered branding where every element has a purpose and nothing is there just for decoration. We wanted to build brands that feel simple on the surface but are carefully thought through underneath.

Before taking on any clients, we had to brand ourselves. We defined who Studio Neat was, what we stood for and how we wanted to be seen, then built a visual identity to match. That process became our own case study: if we couldn’t create a clear, consistent brand for our own studio, we couldn’t do it for anyone else.

From there we worked like a real agency. We pitched, held client meetings, presented concepts and delivered under real deadlines, taking each brand from first idea to finished identity.

My role

As motion and graphic designer, I worked on the visual side of the brands, shaping how they looked and moved. I focused on making each identity feel consistent across formats, from static graphics to motion, so the brand stayed recognizable wherever it appeared.

Takeaway

Studio Neat taught me that strong branding starts with a clear idea. When you know exactly what a brand stands for, the visual decisions become easier and more honest.
